1. Personal Information We Collect

"Personal Information" is information that identifies you as an individual. Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact information: name, address, email address, telephone number.
  • Finance Application information: date of birth, employment and income details, housing/residency details, and information needed to obtain a consumer credit report, submitted through our online Finance Application.
  • Trade-In Appraisal information: vehicle year/make/model, VIN, mileage, condition, ownership/lien status, and photos, submitted through our Trade-In / Value Your Trade form.
  • Test Drive / Appointment information:name, contact details, driver's licence information, and preferred appointment details, submitted through our Book Appointment / Test Drive and Service Appointment forms.
  • Communications: information you provide when you contact us, request a quote, leave feedback, or respond to a survey.
  • Automatically collected information: pages viewed, interactions, device and browser information, referral sources, and other usage data collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).

2. How We Use Your Personal Information

We may use the information we collect to:

  • Process and respond to your Finance Application, Trade-In Appraisal, Test Drive request, Service Appointment, or other inquiry.
  • Confirm appointments and provide related updates.
  • Communicate with you by email, SMS text message, and telephone (including through an automated dialing system and/or ringless voicemail, where you have consented see Section 4).
  • Share your finance application information with our network of third-party lending partners for the purpose of obtaining financing on your behalf.
  • Monitor interest in our vehicles and services, tailor content to your preferences, and understand how visitors use our Sites, including through Google Analytics and Google Ads (see Section 5).
  • Send you promotional or marketing communications, where you have consented to receive them.
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.

3. SMS and Telephone Communications

If you provide your mobile number and opt in, you agree to receive SMS messages and/or phone calls from us regarding appointment confirmations, finance application and trade-in updates, service updates, customer support, and account notifications, including calls made using an automated or predictive dialing system and/or ringless voicemail technology.

  • Message and data rates may apply; message frequency may vary.
  • You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP, or of calls by informing us verbally, in writing, or by contacting us using the information below.
  • No mobile information, and no text messaging originator opt-in data or consent, will be shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
  • Consent to receive SMS or phone communications is never a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

4. Promotional and Informational Offers

With your permission, information submitted through our forms may be used for marketing and promotional purposes. If you object to this use, you may prevent it by emailing us or by contacting us to update your preferences, as described below. We use reasonable efforts to keep your information secure while it is used for these purposes.

5. Cookies, Google Analytics, and Google Ads

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on our Sites, including:

  • Google Analytics: to automatically collect aggregated information about how visitors use our Sites (page views, interactions, device/browser information, and referral sources) so we can measure site performance and improve our content. This information does not personally identify you.
  • Google Ads:including remarketing and conversion tracking, to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to show you relevant ads about our vehicles and services on other websites you visit.   • Opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

6. Disclosure of Information

We will not disclose your personal information to third parties other than our own agents, service providers, and lending partners, except:

  • As described in this Privacy Policy (for example, sharing finance application details with lending partners, or usage data with Google);
  • To comply with legal requirements such as a law, regulation, warrant, subpoena, or court order; or

Some of these disclosures (for example, to Google or to lenders operating outside Canada) may involve storage or processing of personal information outside of Canada, which may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction, including laws permitting disclosure to government authorities under circumstances that differ from those in Canada.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy (including processing your finance application, trade-in, or appointment, and maintaining business and legal records), or as required by applicable law, after which it is securely destroyed, deleted, or anonymized.

8. Protection of Information

We have put in place physical, electronic, and managerial safeguards to help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data security, and ensure appropriate use of the information we collect, including restricting access to personal information to employees on a need-to-know basis. Personal information you share with us is stored on our servers or hosted by third-party service providers (including our financing, CRM, hosting, and analytics/advertising providers) who are contractually required to protect it consistently with this Privacy Policy.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by applicable law.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Withdraw your consent to our collection, use, or disclosure of your information at any time (subject to legal or contractual restrictions), including withdrawing consent for marketing SMS, calls, or emails.
  • Ask us to stop using your information for particular purposes.

10. Children's Privacy

Our Sites and services are intended for individuals who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If we alter this Privacy Policy, changes will be posted on this page so that you are always informed of what information we collect, how we use it, and the circumstances under which we may disclose it.
